Equihab was established in 2007 by Emma Tarpey, a BHS qualified instructor, physiotherapist and competition rider. She is supported by a team of regular grooms and top quality specialists.

We offer a service tailored to the needs of the sick or injured horse who's owner/rider does not have the time, expertise or facilities to safely bring it back to full work. Aided by our close working relationship with the equine referral hospitals and other local practices, our unique service allows owners and vets to ensure the patient receives the care and effective handling they need during the crucial rehabilitation period, with the flexibility to meet the individual horse and owner’s needs.

The service includes:

• An intelligent, professional service to support the vet's recovery programme
• BHS and Physiotherapy qualified manager to assist with veterinary treatment and work with the vet to develop and implement individual recovery programmes
• Friendly approachable staff, whom owners can talk to about their horse's needs
• A dedicated rehabilitation stable block where horses will always have company and are regularly monitored
• All year individual paddock turnout with the option of small paddock or round pen turnout if required
• Access to ménages, hacking and road work
• A team of specialists, including farriers, master saddlers, physiotherapists, chiropractors, equine masseurs and other services available as needed and arranged through us
• A service recognised by insurance companies if undertaken on a vet's recommendation

We offer personalised training services for both horses/ponies and riders, tailored to meet the individual goals and ambitions of those we work with.

The service includes:

• Training for riders - from beginners to those wanting to improve their competitive performance.
• Training for horses/ponies - from those just starting to the more established.
• Training livery for horses and riders.
• Confidence building/rebuilding for nervous or novice riders.
• Rehabilitation of problem/wayward horses.
• Re-schooling horses to ride and to sell.

We can provide a safe, secure and friendly environment for your retired horse or pony where visits are always welcome. We have an established herd of retired horses that rotate around a selection of carefully chosen fields, perfect for the retired horse due to the natural shelter they offer, and good well draining pasture.

The service includes:

• A daily check of the horses/ponies and fields
• Daily feeding
• Provision of hay during the winter months
• An established worming programme
• Regular visits from the farrier

Equihab is based in Kings Langley, Hertforshire, covering North London and the Home Counties. Proximity to the surrounding major roads provides good access within the South East of England.
